Mr. Macklem has worked in the health information management field for more than 21 years. The majority of his professional focus includes coding, data quality, education, revenue cycle and coding systems administration. His extensive field experience also includes 10 years managing HIM departments and coding staff for large premiere healthcare providers in California. Ken has focused the last few years on clinical documentation improvement. Prior to coming to Peak, Ken was the Director of Coding for a large level 1 trauma and teaching hospital system. His facility was also part of the first RAC reviews. As an active member of AHIMA and CHIA, he has participated in many organizational committees over the years.Mr. Macklem graduated from San Diego Mesa College with a degree in Health Information Technology.
